Andy Di Palma, 93, of Steubenville died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born February 8, 1926 in Forli del Sannio, Italy. He is the son of the late Charles and Antoinette Gentile Di Palma. Also preceding him in death are two brothers Dominic, Carl Di Palma and long time companion Rose Capobianco.
Andy worked 17 years at Weirton Steel, was a businessman and insurance agent. He was a former 4th Degree member and Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council #472 Fr. Bigelow Assembly. Andy served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are three sons Andrew (Trudy) Di Palma of Columbus, Charles (Molly) and Christopher Di Palma both of Steubenville; two sisters Alice Casini of Steubenville and Carmen Di Palma of Cleveland; three grandchildren Allison (Josh) Whalen, Victoria and Charlotte Di Palma; three great grandchildren Max, Jude and Dane Whalen, also former wife Maxine Di Palma of Steubenville.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be Friday at 10 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 425 N. 4th St., Steubenville, Fr. Tim Huffman will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
