David L. Romel

David (D.L.) Louis Romel, born May 5th, 1936 (Moundsville WV) passed away peacefully August 13, 2018 at Trinity West. He was commended for his dedication to his family, his time in the Army, his career with Mountaineer Gas, and involvement with The K. of C #472, and the Swinging Seniors golf club.  He was also a life-long Steeler and WVU fan.

 D.L. was welcomed to Lord’s Kingdom by his parents, Louis & Elizabeth Romel, sisters, Dorothy Romanek & Theresa Brown and brother, Jack Romel along with two grandsons, Ryan & Christopher Ciciarelli.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Evelyn (Valloric) Romel, his four children, David (Sharon) Romel of Olhmstead Falls, Douglas Romel, Cathy (Charlie) Morelli and Cindy Romel of Steubenville, Ohio, sister, Irene Wells (N.C.) brother-in-law Jim Brown (Moundsville), along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and one great grandchild to carry on his memory.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held Wednesday at 7:45 pm.
