Irene K. Harda

Irene K. Harda, 96, of Steubenville died Monday, September 2, 2019 at her home. She was born May 7, 1923 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Julius Kukor and Helen Takach Kukor Folden. Also preceding her in death are her husband Frank Harda, son Stephen Harda and granddaughter Jessica Harda.

Irene was retired from Kaufman’s Department Store where she was a sales clerk for many years. She was also a Secretary for the U.S. War Office. Irene was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish, it’s CWC and St. Francis’ Society. Irene was also a founding parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Surviving are one son Frank (Carol) Harda of Canterbury, CT; one daughter Margie (Tom) Wilson of Steubenville; six grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew, Andrew, Chelsea, Cailyn, Crystal and one great granddaughter, Lilli.   

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be Thursday at 6:45 pm.
