Jerry F. “Cookie” Cook, Jr., 60, of Wintersville died Friday, October 18, 2019 at his home. He was born January 7, 1959 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Jerry, Sr. and Helen Beato Cook. Jerry is also preceded by his beloved dog Luka Belle.
Jerry worked at Weirton Steel for 28 years; was retired from US Steel where he worked as a pipe fitter and welder. He was a graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1977.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Brake Cook, whom he married November 21, 1980; two daughters Julie (Joseph) Constantine, of Wintersville, and Jamie Lyn (Jacob) Moore of Carrollton; two brothers, Jeffrey (Betsy) Cook of Wellsville, OH, Joseph (Linda) Cook, DO of North Lawrence, OH and his grandson, Gunner Constantine. Also surviving are his father and mother in law, Ermine and Rose Brake.
Jerry loved driving his 1966 truck and spending time with his grandson and family.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, October 25, from 2 pm until time of services at 6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Pastor Bill Westling will officiate and burial will take place at Fort Steuben Burial Estates at the convenience of the family.
Jerry felt the need, with his family, to support fellow cancer patients by providing cancer care bags. Friends and family who contributed to the project are known as “Cookie’s Crew”. All donations will be used to contribute to this legacy. Forever Cookie Strong.
