Josephine Lamantia

Josephine Lamantia, 92, of Steubenville died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Valley Hospice. She was born June 26, 1926 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Phillip and Nancy Minco Lamantia. Also preceding her in death are four brothers Phillip, Joe, Pete and Anthony Lamantia; two sisters Augusta and Mary. 

Josephine was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School. 

Surviving are two sisters Anna Hess of Steubenville and Rose Smith of Claysville, PA; many nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours will be Friday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at Noon Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Fr. Tim Huffman will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be Friday at 3 pm.
