Lawrence H. Thompson

Lawrence “Larry” H. Thompson, 76, of Steubenville died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1942 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Edwin and Margaret Salanci Thompson.

Larry was a retired salesman. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Polish Athletic Club. He was also an avid reader and local history buff.

Surviving are two sons Christopher Thompson of Newark, OH and Patrick (Christina) Thompson of Columbia, SC; one daughter Maureen Kaufmann of Steubenville; one sister Madonna (Frank) Tulchowski of Steubenville; six grandchildren Justin (Bailey) Kaufmann, Austin Parker, Karley and Lilian Thompson, Riley and Maverick Thompson.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 11 am until 1:30 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will follow at Holy Family Catholic Church at 2 pm. Burial will be private at Union Cemetery.
