Maria Barca

Maria Barca, 82, of Commercial Point, OH formerly of Steubenville, died Friday, February 01, 2019 in Columbus. She was born February 23, 1936 in Ciro Marina, Crotone Italy. She is the daughter of the late Nicodemo and Lucia Dima Pinacchio. Maria was a homemaker and supporter of her family throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with children and grandchildren. She was a former member of the Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Steubenville. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Libero Barca, Sr. of Commercial Point; one daughter, Rose Ann (Joseph) Covelli of Jefferson Hills, PA, two sons, Vince (Stacy) Barca of Mebane, NC, and Libero "Lib" (Sarah) Barca, Jr. of Commercial Point; two grandchildren, Gabriella and Alex; three sisters, Erminia (Sam) Travaglino, Frances (Joseph) Mazzone, and Filomena "Mena" Pinacchio; and a brother, Gaetano Pinacchio. Calling hours are Monday 4-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10am Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
