Steve A. Mantos

Steve A. Mantos, 87, of Bloomingdale died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Valley Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 27, 1932 in Broadacre. He is the son of the late Angelo Mantos and Arlene Nuest Mantos Gale. Also preceding
him in death is his wife Lauretta (Vogt) Mantos, who he married on April 24, 1954, and now they will be together on their 65th anniversary.

Steve was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Wayne Twp Senior Citizens. He worked at the former Ohio Nut & Washer Co. in Mingo Jct. and retired as a mechanic from International Mill Service. He loved hunting, fishing and golf.  Steve also enjoyed traveling to see his family. Steve had been former Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 186 of Belvedere. He had graduated from Wayne High School and served in the Ohio National Guard. Steve set a wonderful example as a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Surviving are two sons Marvin (Diana) Mantos of Louisville, OH and Larry (Jude) Mantos of Lanexa, VA; two daughters, Stephanie (Paul) Yates of Bloomingdale and Melanie Mantos of Bloomingdale; three brothers Bill (Nancy) Mantos, Jim (Terry) Mantos and Carl (Carolyn) Mantos all of Bloomingdale; three sisters Carol (Ron) Davis, Anna Hartsouk and Connie (Jim) Wright all of Bloomingdale; 10 grandchildren, Nick (Katie), Paul (Angie), Ben, Noelle (Jared), Ashley, Jenna (David), Ben, Ashley, Jerrad, and Allison and 13 great grand children. 

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 pm until time of services at 6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Fr. Michael Gossett will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
