Albert J. Smith, Sr.

Albert J. Smith Sr., 77, of Steubenville, died Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Trinity West ER. He was born April 20, 1948 in Wheeling, WV. He is the son of the late Robert and Betty DeGramo Smith. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Bethann Smith and Brenda Huckabee.

Albert was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked on the railroad for 35 years. Albert was a car enthusiast, loved golfing, and watching baseball & football.

Surviving are his wife Christine Burlingame Smith, whom he married March 31, 1982; son Albert J. Smith Jr. of Steubenville; three daughters Mindy (Sean) Sinclair of Munster, IN, Tracey; and Jennifer (Jeff) Stone; sister Robin Moore of Wellsburg, WV and six grandchildren.

Albert will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
