Brenda DiVito Obituary

On the morning of February 14th, Brenda DiVito passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, after battling brain tumors for the last two decades.

Everyone knows Brenda’s first love were her three children. She somehow always managed to balance work and life while owning a business for over 20 years all while having “three in diapers” at the same time. When they were children, she loved volunteering at every field trip and attending every sporting event and band concert she possibly could. Brenda was not only a wonderful mother, but a loving wife - married to her husband, John, for 39 years. But she would argue that 2022 was one of the best years of her life, as she welcomed two granddaughters, Erin and Eloisa, who brought her so much joy and laughter.

Brenda also had a love for animals and would’ve rescued them all if she could - having owned 6 dogs and 5 rescued cats that were her pride and joy. Her energy lit up a room and she had the most infectious laugh. She was always unapologetically herself and we all wish we had half the courage and spirit that she did. She spent 61 years on this earth and will now turn 62 in heaven, but will forever be remembered affectionately as our “Brennies”.

She was welcomed into heaven by her father, father-in-law, granddaughter, and beloved pets. Brenda is survived by her mother Anne, husband John, son Kyle, daughters Allison and Maggie, their spouses Laura, Stephen, and Matt, granddaughters Erin, Eloisa, and Amelia, and family.

A private memorial service was held in her honor. We ask that in lieu of flowers or gifts, a donation in Brenda’s honor be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
