Carmela L. Serafini

Carmela L. Serafini, 86, of Steubenville died Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Valley Hospice.

She was born December 22, 1934 to the late Oreste and Lillian (DiFilippo) Serafini.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Carmine (Margie) Serafini and her sister, Rita (Sam) Baldwin, and a great nephew Gregory Serafini.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish. Carm was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central class of 1952. She was retired from Ace Optical where she worked for over 40 years.

Carm is survived by her brother, John (Barbara) Serafini and sister-in-law Margie Serafini.

The greatest joy of her life were her seven nephews and three nieces with whom she spent many hours spoiling. Carm felt blessed to have eight great nephews and six great nieces that were so special to her.

The family would like to thank the staff of the sixth floor at Trinity West and to Valley Hospice for their kind, compassionate care. A very special thanks to her caregivers Caprice, Jaelynn, Michelle, Janea, and Kamil. Because of them Carm was able to stay in her own home.

Calling hours will be Friday, May 14 from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 12:00 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be Friday at 3:00 pm.
