Derek Siragusano Obituary

Derek G. Siragusano, 31, of Richmond, entered Heaven Friday, May 15, 2020. The son of Carmen Derek and Tammy J. Siragusano, he was a 2007 graduate of Edison High School. He was born July 5, 1988 in Steubenville. Derek bravely fought brain tumors and cancer for 23 years. A quadriplegic after his initial brain and spinal tumor surgery and was told he would never walk again, he fought tirelessly and in the fall of 1997 took his first steps. His accomplishment was reported on WTOV Steubenville, WTRF Wheeling and WPXI Pittsburgh. One of his most cherished moments was walking across the Graduation stage to receive his diploma. Derek loved shooting sports and Motocross Racing and was known at every race track in the Tri State area as the “ True Champion”! He was loved by all who met him!

Derek is preceded in death by Grandparents Louis and Joyce Siragusano of Richmond, Grandmother Mary Lemasters of Ormand Beach, Florida, formerly of Steubenville. He is survived by his parents, grandfather and buddy Harold R. Lemasters of Ormand Beach Fla., brother Shane Siragusano of Richmond, sister Cara and Michael Emery of Richmond, niece Alaina Rose Emery and nephew Luke M. Emery, aunts Lisa and Danny Greathouse of Weirton, Tracey and Bob Mazeroski of Richmond, Laurie Hanlon of Richmond. Uncles, Greg and Lori Siragusano of Cadiz, Harold H. and Tammy Lemasters of Steubenville. Beloved cousins, Lindsey and Eric Clark of Okakie, SC, Ashley and Josh Hoobler of Richmond, Rich and Helena Muckle of Washington, Pa, Janae and Phil Tull of Virginia Beach, Jordan and Caleb Forbes of Charlotte, NC, Sam Siragusano of Cadiz, Gianna Siragusano of Cadiz, Anthony and Kelsey Shane of Richmond, Ryan and Heidi Lemasters of Las Vegas and Melania Lemasters of Steubenville.

A special thank you to all the thousands who prayed for Derek all these years!

Private services will be held by the family. Burial will take place in Quaker Cemetery in Richmond.
