Edward 'Stud' Gentile, 90, of Steubenville died Thursday, April 29, 2021, at his home.
He was born March 11, 1931, in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Luigi and Matilda Patete Gentile. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Patsy, Robert Gentile; sister, Joanne Lemieux; and nephew, Paul Gentile.
Edward was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel after 48 years. He worked in the Cold Strip Dept. as a craneman. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Landstuhl, Germany, where he drove an ambulance.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Dulaney Gentile; two sons, Robert (Christy) of Austin, TX, and John of Steubenville; brother, Louis (Carmella) of Steubenville; two sisters, Yolanda Thomas of Wintersville and Mafalda âFeeã Canella of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Emmy, Lucy and Patrick Gentile of Austin, TX; brother-in-law, Wayne Lemieux of Rio Rancho, NM; and sister-in-law, Joan Gentile of Las Vegas; cousins, Ernie (Marilyn) Patete of Pittsburgh, PA, and Liberata Patete of Italy; several nieces and nephews.
Edward will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
