James Flanagan Jr. Obituary

James A. Flanagan Jr., 62, of Wintersville died suddenly Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Tappan Lake. He was born on January 3, 1964 in Wheeling, WV. He is the son of James Flanagan Sr. and the late Audrey Speidel Lee.

James worked as a truck driver for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of Jefferson County Sportsman Club where he liked to fish. James also enjoyed golfing and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are one son, James Flanagan of Texas; three daughters, Jessica (Michael) Macakanja of Steubenville, Kristie Flanagan of Steubenville, and Kelsey Flanagan of Texas; two sisters, Janice (Jim) Daily of Wintersville and Karin McCarty of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Remy, Mia, Ricky, Christian, and Ryatt. Also, his stepmother, Betty Flanagan.

Private services were held at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel.
