Jenny Lamatrice

Heaven gained a beautiful angel, Jenny Lamatrice died Friday, October 2, 2020 at Lancia Villa Vista. She was born July 8, 1927 in Steubenville. Jenny is preceded in death by her parents Vincenzo and Amelia Buffone Tripodi; husband Ernest and son James.

Not only was Jenny an amazing daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend she was an avid golfer, she owned a dog grooming business and was an amazing cook. She always enjoyed a good drink (Her favorite was a High Ball). Her sense of humor, whit, sarcasm and kindness will be sorely missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Vista and Valley Hospice for the care and compassion they provided.

Leaving to cherish her memory are her children Nancy (Bill) Davis of Columbus, Mella Pool of Raleigh, NC, Stephen (Elaine) Lamatrice of Wintersville and Vicki (Al) Schneider Tecumseh, MI; Eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister Josephine Quattrone of Zanesville; brother Vince (Nancy) Tripodi of Steubenville; brother Paul (Patti) Tripodi of Pembroke Pines, FL; daughter in laws Marie and Terri Lamatrice both of Wintersville.

Calling hours will be Monday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be Tuesday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held Monday at 5:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cornerstone of Hope, 5905 Brecksville Rd., Independence, OH 44131.
