John H. Rankin, Jr.

John H. Rankin Jr., 71, of Colliers died Monday, July 11, 2022 at his home. He was born July 25, 1950 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late John Sr. And Jean Bernert Rankin. He is also preceded in death by his wife Jean Knox Rankin and one brother William Rankin.

He was retired from Fedex Ground where he was a Lead Engineer for many years. He was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School class of 1968. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era.

Surviving are two sons Aaron Rankin and Zach (Amy Mitchell) Rankin both of Pittsburgh; mother of his children Joyce Rankin; Canine Companion Brue; brother Mike (Elaine) Rankin of Columbus; four sisters Kathy (Tim) Sweeney of Canton, Patti Bratcher of Canton, Mary Alice (Charles) Stewart of Steubenville and Beth Rankin Simpson of Beaver Falls, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Saturday from 10 am until 12 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Burial will take place at a later date.
