Nick D’Anniballe, age 98, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 26, 1923 to Anthony and Mallie (Orlando) D’Anniballe in Steubenville, Ohio, he graduated from Steubenville High School and served in the Navy in WWII. As a first class petty officer, he was a diver for the Naval Salvage Training School and attended the Stephens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. After the war, he married Anna Marie Pagnanelli in 1948 and then attended Steubenville Business College. He spent his career working with devotion in various industries, starting with the Ohio Foundry & Manufacturing Company, and eventually becoming President of Fort Steuben Metal Products in Weirton, West Virginia. He was a member of Holy Family Church and the Knights of Columbus #472.
Nick enjoyed playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, and watching horseracing and his beloved Cleveland Browns. Most recently, Nick loved what he would call his “club”, the Prime Time Senior Center in Steubenville, Ohio, where he enjoyed socializing with friends and quickly became an accomplished pool player. He took delight in all things and saw good in everyone.
His parents, his wife, and his sister, Margaret Ruscitti, preceded him in death. Those left to cherish Nick’s memory are his children, Patricia, Nick (Mary Elizabeth Pizzoferrato), John, Michael, and Janine, grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Vincent, and Joseph, great-grandson, Carter, sister-in-law, Susan Pagnanelli, and several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID concerns all services for Nick will be private. Mass will be live-streamed and also archived for later viewing.
