Rebekah Hancock Obituary

Rebekah Anne Hancock, 21, passed into heavenly peace on February 28, 2021. Beka was born in Steubenville, Ohio, to Mary Elizabeth Hancock and Rick Hancock on July 20, 1999. She spent much time in Montana with family and her inquisitive mind made her a lover of books, music, movies and high-tea parties. She studied early childhood education at Jefferson County Vocational School, graduated from Steubenville High School in 2018, and studied social work at Eastern Gateway College. She was active in a Twelve Step program. In 2019, Rebekah co-founded the Steubenville Chapter of Faith and Light, an international prayer organization for disabled individuals of all ages, their families and friends.

Rebekah was a selfless and giving person. She had a truly caring heart for every person she encountered, and her fun sense of humor and bright smile will be greatly missed. She was a loyal and loving friend, sister, cousin, niece, daughter and granddaughter.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather Mary Elizabeth and Timothy Tinirello of Courtland, Ohio; father and stepmother Rick and Noelle Hancock of Corvallis, Montana; grandfathers Donald Spencer and Tad Hancock; brothers and sisters Christopher, Theresa, Spencer, Tim and Sarah Hancock; and special friends Mariana and Laura Miller. She will be especially missed by Emily Coleman and the many special needs people and families whose lives she touched with her generous love and tireless work.

A Memorial Mass will be at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, March 8th at 11 a.m. Condolences will be received starting at 9:30 a.m. at the church, and a Rosary will be said starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery and will take place at a later date.
