Sondra M. (Haney) Pompa, 89 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 20th at Bolger's Country Club Manor under the care of Valley Hospice. She was born November 18th, 1936 in Steubenville to the late Wilmer and Agnes (Kirkpatrick) Haney. Sondra was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Joseph F. Pompa; her sisters M. Dolly (Edgar) Johns and W. Susan (Willis) Roush.
Sondra is survived by her daughters Maria Sharp of Colorado and Melissa (Billy) Tice of Wintersville; her 3 grandchildren Zachary (Anna) Perine, Mallory (Alicia) Lane and Tanner Tice and 1 great grandchild Ariana Perine. Sondra especially loved her role as GG to Ariana.
She always reminded her family that she "loved them high as the sky". Sondra was a proud graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1954. Sondra's family would like to thank Country Club Manor and Valley Hospice for all the wonderful care they provided for her over the last 8 months.
Per her wishes she will be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life for Sondra on Saturday, May 16th with visitation from 11am until time of services at Noon at First Westminster Presbyterian Church 235 N. 4th St., Steubenville. Pastor Jason Elliott will officiate.
