Vincent L. Monti, 89, of Steubenville died Monday, September 7, 2020 at Trinity West. He was born May 23, 1931 in Wheeling. He is the son of the late Biagio “Cookie” and Gilda Julian Monti. Also preceding him in death is his sister Jeanette Spear.
Vincent was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked in the Sinter Plant for many years. He was a member of Triumph of the Cross Church. Vincent was also a member of the American Legion Post 33 and the former St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vincent proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife Lucia Rodriguez Monti, whom he married May 7, 1966; one son Henry (Vivian) Wells of KY; one daughter Desiree (Troy) Vance of Tampa, FL; niece Deneen (Steve) Bright of Colliers; five grandchildren William, Hannah, James, Tyler, Lea and great granddaughter Abby.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Nicholas Ginnetti will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be Thursday at 6:45 pm.
