Virginia A. Riley

Virginia A. Riley 95 of Steubenville died Tuesday November 14, 2023 at the Carriage inn of Steubenville. She was born September, 26,1928 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Falbo Venci, Virginia is also preceded in death by her husband, Eddie E. Riley, one brother, Anthony “Footie” Venci, three sisters, Agnes Northrup, Lucille Lopatowicz, Mary Jane Farr.

Virginia was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its CWC and St. Francis Society, the Four Seasons club, and was the owner and operator of the former Gertrude Lee Candy Company fore 64 years. Surviving are her son, Edward J. (Connie) Riley of Steubenville, four daughters, Barbara Wood, of Steubenville, Janet (Lenny) Stasiulewicz of Wintersville, Patricia Riley of Steubenville, and Virginia “Bunny” (Joseph) Dussault of Columbus, and Seven grandchildren and three great Grandchildren.

Calling hours are Thursday 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. A funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 am Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Fr. Drake McAllister as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
