William Needham Obituary

William “Billy” Needham, 90, of Steubenville passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by family. He was born November 7, 1930 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late George and Loretta Conley Needham. He graduated from CCHS in 1948.

William is preceded in death by his wife Angeline (Bonitatibus) Needham. They were married at St. Anthony’s Church in Follansbee, WV on October 29, 1960. He was also preceded in death by his brother Thomas L. Needham of Margate, NJ.

Surviving are his children Daniel (Marcia) Needham of Scarborough, ME; Lori (Scott) Henderson of Northfield, NJ, Cindy (John) Ordille of Brigantine, NJ, Thomas (Melanie) Needham of Ft. Mill, SC; grandchildren Elliot & Gabrielle of ME, Jennifer of NV, Kelly & Megan of NJ, Thomas & Lucas of NJ, Emmy & Addie of SC; two great grandchildren Justin and Nikolette; he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked in the Payroll Department for 32 years. After his retirement they relocated to Atlantic City, NJ where he enjoyed the casinos, beach and boardwalk before returning to Steubenville. He was a member of the Knights of St. Anthony and the former Loyal Order of the Moose. Bill was an avid Notre Dame fan.

Private service will be held and burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
